An Aman in the Cyclades... this is awesome. Does anyone know on which island will it be? The name seems to suggest Milos (which is a spectacular island) and it's quite off the beaten track which, IMO is an upside of the best Amans (e.g. Amanwana, Amankora, Amanjiwo). For those who have never been to the Cyclades, this is one of the most amazing place on earth in terms of scenery, sea, weather (greek skies are clean and blue like in the Alps) food, beaches and nightlife.

Megatop,

I had great food in all the four Amans I have been to (plus one great dinner in Amanusa and unforgettable fresh lobsters while sailing in Flores sea with the Aman Komodo Expedition) and I consider myself quite fussy in terms of dining.

Amanpuri does have an Italian restaurant (which works only in the evening) but it's not the main restaurant (which is 100% thai as all the food I had in the resort).

Although Amanpuri is a bigger resort compared to other smaller Amans (where the people of the staff have paranormal skills to forecast your needs and preferences and seem to have known you for years) it is still an Aman which means unerring service and efficiency and true disarming kindness.
On top of that, an Aman means contemporary style, amazing scenery (and food!) and the impression that the average client is much more cultivated than in other luxury hotels, but less snooty (and less tacky). Think of the "no TV" policy - which, I think, is great - the libraries and the numerous cultural activities.
This also depends on the locations... Bhutan attracts travellers different to those drinking their margaritas soaking in a "pool bar" in Cancun, this is why I would be more enthusiastic about Amans opening in undiscovered corners of the world (Socotra island in Yemen? Mongolia? Lakshwadeep? Micronesia?).
