This spring I flew SQ EWR-SIN-BKK-SIN-KUL-SIN-EWR in Y. The only sectors I was not eligable for mileage was the SIN-KUL-SIN because the fare class was Q. Also, when I called SQ to add my KF number I enquired which sectors get miles? SQ CRS said all sectors except SIN-KUL-SIN.

After 4 weeks I still had no KF miles. I sent SQ an email asking about the mileage. The response I received was that I had a "Special" fare therefore not eligable. I found this upsetting since I was looking forward to my 21000 miles. After researching the Krisflyer rules I found that all fares were eligable for miles except Q and a few others. I responded to SQ quoting the rules on their website. After I did this and said that the rules do not specify any other exclusion besides fare class. The next email I received was that the miles would be credited to my account and they apologized for the confusion . If anyone needs the name and email of the person at SQ let me know.
