Since you mentioned seat comfort, I fly UA specifically to get into E+. I used to fly CO but, when I moved to SFO, I stopped getting upgrades, despite being platinum. By switching to UA, I always get E+, which gets me an extra 5 inches of leg room over the other legacy carriers. I also get the odd operational upgrade and upgrades with certs.

There are no other in cabin amenities that make so much difference to me that it would affect my choice of carrier.

Other than reserved seats, that is -- I will never fly Southwest, but that's not the only reason.
