we've gone to cuisinart five years in a row, two weeks at a time (pre-dec 16th, before the xmas rates kick in)

plain rooms? yeah, sure- but it is the tropics- you don't want Loius XVI ornateness- i;d rather call it clean and simple modern design-and the one-bedroom oceanfron suites are LARGE and comfy, along with an outdoor deck or terrace

the key thing is the wonderful people on the island- everyone - staff and residents- are warm and welcoming

we always rent a car and drive - anywhere- and stop in at any restaurant- some plain, some fancy, some BBQ joints by the side of the road- and have never been unhappy

the only complaint might be the little biting sand flies on the beach and at sundown

otherwise it is a perfectly relaxing (but not cheap) vacation- and cuisinart is the least expensive of the big 3- and no "attitude"
