On August 12th (pm), I am heaeded with my 8 year old daughter to Alaska. we fly into Fairbanks and home from Anchorage on the 21st (noon).

This is her first time to Alaska. I have been a few times; but, just Anchorage and Fairbanks, nothing between or around.

We are budget concious unfortunately; but, pursue the challenge of everything for as little as possible.

With this is mind, I would greatly appreciate suggestions for stops, activities and even lodging along the way. The building blocks for an itinerary, the pieces which would fit in handsomely.

Parks, Sights, Activities, Train or drive?? Kodiak?? Kenai?? Glacier Tours?? Boats?? All in all I just want junior to have a great time.
