Bring lots wet wipes (or baby wipes) for cleaning hands or bottoms or anything else.

In terms of practicing, I would suggest sitting on a proper toilet and just lifting yourself slightly from the seat.

Squat toilets are more common around the world than you would expect even in parts of Europe. If you think about it, there is no skin contact on surfaces which is more hygenic. Cleaning is also relatively easy; a big brush at the end of long pole scrubing all tile and porcelain surfaces.

The state of the toilet maintenance itself though can be a different matter; i.e. is anyone clean it.
