Pick up a car and spend all your time in CA. I know, CA is not a city. Take Highway 1 and do San Francisco to San Diego. In between, stop by Monterey/Carmel, Santa Barbara, LA (I mean Santa Monica, Venice, Malibu, Laguna Beach) and of course San Diego.
