I just called KLM to add my frequent traveller number to a KLM-booking I made with Expedia. They wouldn't do it though saying that they won't touch travel-agency bookings before departure. I know of this rule and many airlines have it, so I'm not questioning that. However, adding a SSR (like specific seat or fqtv-number) will not interfere with the booking and the airline does not need to take over responsibility for the booking (as is the case with other changes). As you aren't changing the booking most airlines can do it. But I guess KLM isn't like most airlines :-) Has anyone else had any luck with this?

So I called Expedia instead for them to add her Czech-airlines number. The answer, but sir these flights are with KLM, I need a KLM-number. So after explaining that she will in fact earn miles she agreed to add it. But oh: "Sir, Czech airlines is not included in our list over programs, I can not add it.". I asked her to do it manually but they couldn't, great.

So, impossible to add it until check-in I guess...
