I was in the Galapagos a few weeks ago. We took American Airlines LAX-MIA-GYE. The Miami to Guayaquil part wasn't bad, it was an Airbus, both ways the flight was jam packed. Service was decent on American, nothing spectacular, but it wasn't horrible either. I guess the good thing about flying into Guayaquil is you can just fly directly to the Galapagos (Baltra Airport) on Aerogal instead of going Quito to Guayaquil to the Galapagos. Where does Delta connect out of to Quito?

We stayed at the Grand Hotel Guayaquil which wasn't so grand, but it wasnt bad for a night coming to and leaving Ecuador. I actually really enjoyed touring Guayaquil despite my first impressions of the city, I really liked it. The Galapagos was phenomenal (like the above poster said). We took a 7 day cruise and it was just spectacular.
