In fact that happened for a few years back when crime in E.P.A. was very serious. All the surrounding towns plus the CHP loaned cops to patrol. It stopped when East Palo Alto was no longer declared "murder capital of the U.S."

I live in Palo Alto. Cops here have used radar guns for as long as I have lived here and will probably continue to do so.
