I fly Lufthansa or Air Canada from Toronto to India on consolidator fares twice-a-year and yet I get full frequent flier credit for those flights.
Similarly my sister flies Delta from JFK also on consolidator fares and still gets frequent flier points.
Besides if a fare is published by BA is a newspaper is isn't really a consolidator fare.
Most airlines will give you frequent flier miles unless it is a free/travel agent/military/group tickets or something equally exceptional. As long as you paying a fare available to the general public there is no reason to not receive ff miles
