I do. Fly enough that I can earn status on multiple programs. I mix up the crediting and awards to the various programs to maximise the benefits. It also doesnt hurt in terms of extra benefits of having status on the airlines I fly.
Sure, if you travel around that heavily, it makes sense to achieve status on several airlines.. But then I would rather split the credit to different alliances then to credit them to 2 programs within same alliance.
