I see your location is listed as Atlanta. Mine is Silicon Valley, just a short stretch down 101 from PA, and I have to say you're dreaming if you think it is possible to get from 101/University Ave (FS hotel) to "anywhere on campus" in 10 minutes. I commuted to work on that campus for many years, and at the wrong time of day, it can take 40 minutes from 101 to the center of it. At 5 pm, it can take 15 minutes just to get from Middlefield to Emerson, a short stretch of the drive to campus, between the congestion, poorly timed lights and jaywalkers. (should I be cruel and mention the joys of parking on campus?)

If ready access to campus is a priority for the traveler, as opposed to needing access to freeways, a much better bet is one of the hotels on El Camino in PA or Menlo Park. I've also heard there are 2 nice B&B's downtown PA if that suits you.


p.s. anybody know for sure if the PA police are still using radar guns on University Avenue?
