Well I have had my Gold Citbank MC for about 2 years

Threw all the paperwork away when I got it(Does anyone keep this) as had no intention then of using it for Overseas travel.

About March starting planning a trip and as Travel Insurance cost me an arm & a leg last time thought I would take advantage of free insurance. Contacted Citibank (The Phillipines) and asked for a copy of terms and conditions so I could work out if it was worth it. End of April nothing received so again another call and another promise to send out.

Need to book trip so do so. Have to pay by end of June. Call mid June again and they say this time must send out complete paperwork as if new card approval. I said okay but need it quick. End of June nothing. Have to pay and use card. Now I am committed. Fourth and last call 2 weeks ago as well a call to Zurich. Zurich says must get from Citibank. On last call to Citibank operator notes all my calls. Good at record keeping but no good at getting to the Post Office.

Maybe I should make a claim that I have the "Black Death" and will not be allowed to travel. I bet that will invoke all kinds of responses trying to avoid a claim.

Zurich Claim Assistant
"Mr. LF When did you become aware of your having the "Black Death""

"Have you suffered the "Black Death" previously"

"Sorry any illness that was around centuries ago is not covered by this policy"

" Actually the only illness covered is a condition that can only be found in Alaskan Eskimos"

" Are you an Alaskan Eskimo by chance"
