I've not heard of one either, unfortunately, but I can't help posting to ask what the food is like. Several years ago I had a Dutch girlfriend of Surinamese descent, but looking back I realize we never ate anything that was even halfway Surinamese, at least not that I remember. At the time I never really thought anything of it (and the places we stayed when together even if it was my apartment here or hers there were not too conducive to doing much cooking anyway), but now I like to find out about different cuisines, and I'm intrigued by your mention of this one.
