For anyone who flys a lot, the card offers a 2:1 ratio on the purchase of AS tickets when you use the BofA card. Also, it comes in really handy as you can buy a FC ticket and your companion flys in FC for $50 + taxes. Not a bad deal. We've flown SEA-ANC, SEA-EWR, SEA-LOS, SEA-SAN and now this fall SEA-CUN all in FC using the companion cert. That's buying MVPG upgradeable fares, which makes the BofA card worth the annual fee. I only use it for incidentals and the Starwood AMEX for everything else.
