Yeah, I kinda thought the visa was non-negotiable.
But it is interesting to read above about the various discount cards, loyalty programs in China.
I recently explored a little out in the San Gabrial Valley just East of L.A. which is very very Chinese. Just walking around a couple of malls I was offered a loyalty card (although I wasn't loyal, just passing by the store) for a 1 hr foot massage for $25, regular price $30. And I have noticed lots of Chinese stores do offer some sort of freebie after ten or so visits.
I always thought it was an adaptation of grocery loyalty programs. Now I understand where it comes from.
Maybe if I find a Chinese girl friend she can dicker for me in Beijing? @:-)
