I can understand your being upset about all this. Although, wrt the SYD flight, it would have been more than 10 minutes. I would say at least 30, and that's not even allowing for bags. About customer service, UA has cut staffing to a bare minimum at the hubs (as was shown in December/ORD). If problems arise, they can make employees work overtime. It seems as though they didn't in this case.
