Here, this is done routinely. Car seats, strollers, beach chairs, etc. get checked by hand rather than being sent through the CTX. We have bins at all of our pods and some use them like Bart said but some of us won't. Even in a bin, they tend to flip over and roll around so it's best just to check them by hand.
