Yes, the Marriott Desert Springs Resort closed their spa on July 9th or there abouts for major overhaul. I was at the villas the first week in July. There have been a lot of complaints about the dilapidated condition.

Mrs. JTG heard it was to be closed for up to 9 months. So it sounds like they're pretty much tearing the place apart.

I didn't ask, but I have to believe that they'll offer some access to spas at their other properties in Palm Desert.
