On the 600 (not 650) there is a button next to the antenna at the top of the unit.

Press that button til you get the "bling-bling" sound and the wireless will go off and it will be in PDA-only (wireless off) mode.

The 650 is the one where you turn on/off the wireless by depressing the red power button on the face of the unit.
