On one of my first trips BOS/LHR (several years ago), I was in J and noticed Cardinal Law (former Cardinal for the Boston area) seated in F. I did wonder at the time whether the church paid, AA was generous, or what. Since I don't donate to the church, I had no direct reason to get upset or not about it, but it does cause one to pause and wonder about the economics of it all.

However, I did assume that the chances of getting hit by lightning were lower on that flight ...
