I have done it a few times and had no problems. They have withdrawn the ff miles most of the time. I assume if they ever question me about it, I will mumble I was too sick to fly then and flew later. FWIW the TSA or Immegration really dont track it. Witness the 10 zillion visitors who overstay their visas.
