No recent experience on DL--excuse the elementary question.

Need to travel DTW-SFO without a Saturday stay in January. NW prices out >$1100, DL around $500.

If I travel DL I understand I still get full NW EQM's. Is there any DL equivalent to Elite (Platinum) status upgrades? Using miles (NW or DL)?
