These are not quad band phones , I believe quad band phones will work because the 4th band is USA GSM that T mobile uses.

Sorry, itisnt true that only quad band phones will work in Europe and Asia and on TMobile US. This isnt complicated but you need the detail of what frequencies a given phone uses. It doesnt matter if it is a "Nokia". Nokia has made dual-band ( couple versions I think), tri-band (a couple versions) and quad band phones. I think they even had a popular single band (1900) for TMobile US for a while. What matters is what bands it has. If it has 1900 it will work on TMobile USA. If it doesnt, it wont work. You can get a 1900 phone in single, double, triple or quad band formats. I have three Nokia phones (6310i, 6600 and 6230) and all three of them work in Europe, Asia and the US (on TMobile). None of them is quad band, all are triband 900,1800 and 1900). The 900 and 1800 are used in Europe and Asia and the 1900 in the US on TMobile (and Cingular with the restriction that they are chaning to 850 as discussed in other posts).
