There are LOTS of things that we take on the plane, or could find on the plane that could be dangerous.
Do not try to use any logic on any of this. There is none. After Sept 11th, you could pull out a 12 inch knife and try something, but unless you got into the cockpit before someone stopped you, you would NOT be able to use the plane as a weapon. Therefore, all this time and money being used for "security" is of little value.
