what a milage run would that be: 1 mile flown, 500 credited (plus bonus for status, probably no C or F bonus posible )
CO used to operate a flight IAH-EFD 4x/day for the NASA and defense contractors in South Houston for quite a while @ 28 miles each way. It was awesome, and it was 12 minutes on an ATR, then about 7.5 minutes when they initiated ERJ service. 500 miles/1 flight segment + an approximate $5 add-on if connecting through IAH on CO + free parking + 1 minute secuity lines (they were the only carrier down there....the terminal was 2 portable buildings!!) = . It was great, and CO had quite a few loyal customers, especially considering that HOU (WN) is about 35 minutes closer to the area than IAH.

Sadly, CO discontinued service in 2004 due to a conflict with the city.
