Thanks to a fatwallet thread, I was pointed back to CO's "Miles for Merchandise" while shopping for a 50" Panasonic plasma. The cost in "miles" for all their 50" plus TV's is only 100 miles (that's right - one hundred miles) and the pricing is frankly unbeatable.

I ended up getting a Toshiba 72" 1080p HDTV DLP (model 72MX195) for $2408, white glove shipping included (sales tax only in a few states). This is a screaming deal - froogle this puppy and you're not getting it delivered for less than $3500 elsewhere. I priced out the panasonic plasma, similar screaming deal. (Decided on the DLP for personal reasons).

Anyway, thought I would point this out here for any FT'ers who may be in the market. The only downside is that it takes 4-6 weeks to get the TV (they carry no inventory and custom order each item, according to my call with them). Totally fine by me, just want this for the fall TV time.

Happy shopping
Yeah but how many bonus miles do they give you for the purchase, 3 miles per dollar spent? Did you use a Chase card to get miles for the purchase?

Just joking, thanks for the info, it's funny because when I shop I always seem to also check out how many bonus miles I could get if I order for company A compared to ordering from company B and what the price difference is, and if I use a chase card what does that do for the equation etc....

Pretty sad, I'm hooked on maximizing mileage.... But I'm glad you posted this, I haven't checked out the miles for merchandise in a long time. Now I think I'll head over to the site and check it out.
