Other options in downtown Vancouver:

The Sylvia Hotel, at $99 CAD for a small room, has a lot of character and a fantastic English Bay location.

The downtown Vancouver Youth Hostel has some private rooms and a very reasonable price (incl. breakfast!), if you're really looking to save money:
