I'm planning to go to PVG in Oct. Right now, the c fare from east coast is running north of $8k. My company will purchase this, but I would like to do better and get more miles out of it. Right now, there are discounted z fares to BKK and SIN for about $5k. Even if I have to buy another tix to PVG, I still come out ahead. Have people done these routes
NYC-SFO-NRT-BKK-PVG-NRT-SFO-NYC
NYC-SFO-HKG-SIN-PVG-SIN-HKG-SFO-NYC
The negative is that it will get to SIN/BKK midnight and the next PVG flight is in the morning.

Is there better routing and fare than this? Suggestions welcome.
