That's too funny. Reminds me of the time I was waiting for some people at JFK. They had a CCTV camera pointed at the escalator from the gate area to immigration and customs (up or down, I don't remember), so that people waiting outside customs could see when the people they were waiting for had arrived. I witnessed a whole sari-clad family looking at the escalator with befuddlement. One of them approached it carefully, and put her toe on the escalator, and promptly fell on it. They had obviously never seen one before.
