Karen, FWIW, you may find the Marriott travel packages a better use of your points. Many of our Marriott-staying FTers have gotten the packages (which come with varying amounts of miles) and then redeposited the lodging certificate into their accounts. The consensus is that the travel packages offer more 'bang for the buck.'
You might want to do a search on "travel packages" over in the Marriott forum and see if you can take advantage of that route.
