It is not as easy as it sounds if they do not have agreements between each other.
It sort of like asking Saks to ask Bloomingsdale's to send out a package for a customer that bought something from Saks.
There is also more details, such as: who takes responsiblity if the luggage gets lost/damaged? The first or the second airline?
