I've been a very happy QC1 user for a long time (except for the electronics box). There is no way I'd move to the QC3's - the rechargeable battery is a terrible idea, and the on-ear design most likely sucks. My first pair of NC headphones were on-ear, and they didn't cancel as much sound, nor was the sound quality as good.

I really don't know what Bose was thinking here. Then again, their entire product line pretty much sucks, with the exception of the QC1/2's... They just got lucky with those.
