I have also read about the *A RTW award, several airlines offer it, however not SAS!
This is actually something you could suggest to SAS.
It is technically possible to do a *A RTW with SAS, if you buy a *A award from Europe to the Pacific region (Australia or New Zealand for example) you could fly via Asia to get there and via the US on the way back.
However since EB *A awards do not allow stopovers it could never be more than a few hours in Asia and a few hours in the US (max 24 hours).
