I put a flight on hold on united.com on Sunday. Yesterday, I went online and tried to ticket it. I entered my credit card number, etc and after I pressed submit, it came back with a screen saying that I need to call United.

"Your ticket has not been issued. Please call us immediately to complete your purchase.
Your reservation was created, but ticketing has not been completed. To guarantee your fare and complete the ticketing process, please call united.com customer service immediately at 1-800-589-5582. "

I ended up calling the United number (1-800-864-8331) on my cell phone, which I thought it's the same as above. The agent re-requested my credit card number and processed for me on the phone.

Today, I checked my credit card account online and it shows the full amount of the ticket, plus also a $15 charge for "Unsupported refund", with a completely different United ticket number, but same traveler's name (which is my friend).

Is this a phone service charge? Have anyone else got this before? Is there a way to get this back? Please help.
