iirc, that place is on 5th ring just to the east-north-east of center. that is far away from pretty much everywhere, but if you don't care about the sites, the bars, and the restauants, you might like it. (i'm increasingly fond of the far-out hotels because the air is better out there,.... but don't plan on a typical beijing experience).
btw, travelmanken recently joined me at the summer jam concert this past weekend in huairou, which is even farther away from town than your proposed location and i thought it was great.
