Just like the comments about overtipping leading to extra expectations, don't feel in any way obligated to make a donation here. The agreed Government funding to The Tate, alone, for their operating costs courtesy of me the UK taxpayer is :
2005 : £42m
2006 : £44m
2007 : £46m
the later figures will be marked up by the inflation index each year, so will be even higher.
