Club Benefits for GMs

There are two clubs in TLV. One is the King David, which is reserved for El Al B/E and FC passengers.

The second is the VIP Club, which is shared by several airlines (including all SkyTeam partners which fly out of TLV) for their B/E, FC, and elite flyers.

Here comes the suprising part: If you are Delta GM (and, obviously, PM) you get entry to the VIP club when flying SkyTeam partners in Economy -- but not when flying Delta.

The reason? Flying Delta means having a codeshare ticket on El Al, and El Al is not part of the VIP Club.

I can't explain why AF, AZ, and Czech Air allow GM's in when they don't in their home countries, but I am not complaining. Yesterday I was treated to my choice of a wide range of pastries, fruits, some light breakfast foods, juices, soft drinks and coffee, all at no charge.

I don't know if alcholic beverages are served later in the day.
