I think that that was a polite reply, but what was the question? What did you actually expect from the airline? I doubt very much that you will get any kind of service from any US carrier (I have always found it an irony that the country which touts itself as a world customer service leader cant deliver in the air).
You clearly feel let down, and rightly or wrongly you should give BA the chance to solve that for you. I would write back acknowleding the reply, stating why you expected more and what that might be. Much better than getting all stressy on the internet.....
