Yesterday's accident at IKT, involving an S7 Airlines A310 slipping off the runway at IKT adds another dreadful statistic to the safety record of the Russian air industry.

Very sad news indeed, and not the first time IKT has witnessed something like this.

I was surprised to see the S7 website full of up to date information on the accident, including all the details of the passengers and their condition. Is this unusual to provide so much information publicly?
