WARNING - Enterprise does not care that the accident is not your fault

I was rear ended while waiting at a stoplight by a vehicle not even licenced, a forklift. It was overloaded and the driver's view was blocked. It was obvious from where the damage was done, across the top of the trunk where the forks skimmed and smashing of the rear windshield, that the driver was driving with an obstructed view. (It is not like loaded forklifts can pick up much speed, either.) Enterprise said, no LDW, we don't care who is at fault, we are going after your insurance. This happened three years ago, and despite the fact that I rent three to five times a month, I will never go back to Enterprise.

Allstate said car rental companies in general are lazy, if they get the least bit of resistance from the other driver, in this case of a vehicle that was not even licenced to be on the street, they will simply go after the insurance of their renter. The good news was that after I put in my deductable, Allstate did not raise my car insurance rate. I figure that Enterprise has lost more in rentals than the 2800 they tried to clip me.
