When I think of the everyday ES, I usually think of kids and teenagers using the hallways and/or atrium as a play/congregation area. Even if they are not purposely loud, noise seems to reverberate into the living rm area more then the bedroom.
Normal road or even highway traffic I can sleep through. Not the teens/kids playing running jumping and having great fun.

I like the ES rooms the way they are set up.
I agree. My biggest complaint with ES involves those kids running up and down the hallways and making noise seemingly with no adult supervision. If my bedroom were right next to those hallways I would never stay there.

Actually I've wondered about the sanity of parents who let their kids do that. The situation seems like a child molester's dream, especially when a child is running around by him/herself.
