Tilting At Windmills?

I have the feeling that I am tilting at windmills, but I just sent the following letter to CSC:

On Aug 22, I flew TLV-AMS-ATL-FLL, returning on Aug 28/29, FLL-ATL-FCO-TLV.

I had wanted to fly TLV-EWR-FLL in both directions, upgrading to Business Class, but was informed that this was impossible as there are no upgrades on TLV-EWR flights.

Instead, I agreed to pay for an M class fare and to buy the upgrades between Europe and the US with Skymiles, while flying Economy Class between TLV and Europe.

Delta chose my itinerary as I did not care where I stopped in Europe in the two directions. Delta also chose to make those flights on El Al, instead of Skyteam partners.

I did not object as no one told me that by choosing El Al, Delta had deprived me both of the MQM's I would have gotten between Israel and Europe and of the full mileage I would have otherwise gotten.

From TLV to AMS, I was given 1027 miles. From FCO to TLV, I was given 702 miles. These are both what I would have earned on a Deeply Discounted fare, but, as I mentioned, I had paid for M Class.

Including my GM bonus, I was given a total of 22925 miles for the trip and 15,899 MQM's.

However, if Delta had chosen to put me on a Skyteam partner, both my mileage and MQM's would have been much higher. The shortest route TLV-FCO-ATL-FLL (and return on the same route) would have resulted in 29,504 miles (with my GM bonus) and, flying M Class, 21,104 MQM's.

In other words, I was given 6579 miles less than I would ordinarily have been given and 5205 fewer MQM's.

As there would have been no difference in the fares, and the routing was chosen for Delta's convenience, not mine, could you please credit my account for both these additional Skymiles and MQM's?

Thank you,
Dovster
