Lots of people from Vancouver drive down to Bellingham and take direct flights to Vegas on Allegiant Air (www.allegiantair.com). People I've talked to in the security line at BLI said it's significantly cheaper than flying out of YVR. Looking at some random dates in August, it looks like you could get flights for around $218 RT.
