Actually, I really have a personal reason for thanking Russ and everyone else that walked today. My partner, who happens to live in ATL due to the crappy job situation here in Chattanooga, has been HIV+ for five years now. Fortunately, he's undetectable because he's been able to get very good healthcare (especially thanks to a Doctor in ATL). I've had to deal with this on nearly a daily basis for those five years and it isn't easy. I've made international phone calls on business trips just to make sure he's taken his pills.
However, there are many people that don't have the luxury of insurance to cover the cost of pills (which can run over $1k/mo) or good doctors. Therefore, I am personally appreciative to Russ for walking and everyone here who has contributed.
