Call them up, tell them you do not like their schedule change, and to put you on other Delta flights with a more convenient schedule. This should at least get you on the ATL-AMS non-stop.
If there are no award seats available on the AMS-ATL, they should overbook the cabin for you.
Good suggestion they have at least waitlisted us for the award seats on the nonstop from ATL to AMS. Originally when I called the rep said the "waitlist was closed" but after saying how inconvenient a 6 hour layover in CVG is going to be and it's not our fault that they changed the outbound flight he did contact customer service and they at least put us on the waitlist. ^
