Lol, if you think that Michelin three starred restaurants have an exclusive on good food, you still have a lot to discover. I work in the hospitality business so monitoring good restaurants and recommending them to clients is part of my job.

And Internet supermarket shopping and delivery is common here too, as is ready-to-heat food. Though I'd have to be really desperate for time to buy meat and fish and veggies I haven't checked out myself, because that is the first rule of superb cuisine

ETA: I forgot to mention, though this is rather personal and I doubt it can be a decisive factor for the OP, that the price of a decent bottle of wine alone would be a reason to rule London out for me. But that's me
