MRTC was a difficult concept to sell. Experienced fliers that actually FLEW AA knew the difference, but the average joe did not. I still stand that people would fly the other carrier if they felt they were getting something for it. As the value of FF programs decline, this will become even more obvious.
(more DL loyalists move to WN and Air Tran, etc)
