People at our terminal a couple miles east of YYZ think the same thing LOL. It's usually the Air France 343 at approx 7pm that gets everyone's attention. But to be fair, the Lufthansa 744 usually climbs out pretty shallow when taking off to the east as well. My less than technical guess is that the winds from the east probably aren't as strong as the typical prevailing westerly winds.
